The Broward Sheriff's Office want to arm you with the tools to keep your children safe. BSO has developed an online interactive mapping program that allows you to plot the location of registered sexual offenders and predators in Broward County. You can search by an address -- or by proximity to listed schools, child care facilities, parks and libraries. The data in these maps is drawn from existing records on the location of offenders and predators in Broward County. In Florida, convicted sexual offenders and predators must report in person twice a year to the sheriff's office in the county in which he or she resides. Failure to comply is a 3rd degree felony. Remember, these offenders and predators are NOT wanted by law enforcement at this time. Rather, this information is made available to residents who would like to educate themselves about the possible presence of offenders and predators in their community.
